Getting started

How do I add my season?

Tap +, pick your league or event type, enter the team (or artist/show), your number of seats and what you paid in total. Then paste your schedule or start with numbered games you can rename later.

How does "paste a schedule" work?

Copy the schedule from your team's site or ticket email and paste it. One game per line. Above Face understands formats like Sep 13 vs Dallas, 09/13 Dallas 1:25 PM or Week 3: @ Denver. Away games (marked "@" or "at") are skipped, and seasons that cross New Year's roll into the next year automatically. Lines it can't read are kept as games without dates, so nothing is lost.

What should "total package cost" include?

Everything you paid for the package: tickets, fees, and any parking pass bundled in. If you have a seat license (PSL), enter it separately under More; it's spread across the years you choose.

Logging games

What's the fastest way to log a sale?

Open the game, tap Sold, type the net payout (what actually lands in your account) and save. Gross price, fees and platform are optional, but they power the fee and tax summaries.

I sold some seats and used the others. How do I log that?

Use Split in the Seats section. Each group of seats gets its own status and amounts, like 2 sold on StubHub and 2 used.

Why does a game I attended show a negative number?

That's the cost of seats you used, not a loss. The dashboard's "Per seat you used" tile shows what attending effectively cost you after resale money. That's usually the number season ticket holders care about.

How do preseason, playoff and canceled games work?

Preseason games carry half a share of your package cost by default (change it in the game's Cost section). Playoff tickets are usually billed separately: turn on "Billed separately" and enter what you paid. Canceled games drop out of the cost split, and any refund counts as recovered.

What are pending payouts?

Many platforms pay after the event. Turn off "Paid out" on a sale to track it as pending, with an expected date. Turn on payout reminders in Settings to get a nudge.

How does "Read a sale screenshot" work? (Pro)

Pick a sale confirmation screenshot. Your iPhone reads the text on-device and fills in the sale price, fees, payout, quantity and platform for you to check before saving. The screenshot is attached to the game. Nothing is uploaded.

Sharing, exports and taxes

I split my seats with friends. Can it track who owes what? (Pro)

Yes. Open Partners & splits, add each person with their share and what they've paid. When you log a sale, choose who got the money. "Settle up" shows who owes whom.

How do I export my data? (Pro)

From a season, open the menu › Export & tax summary. The full ledger CSV opens in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets. The tax-year summary groups sales by the year you sold, per platform, with cost basis. It's a starting point for your records, not tax advice.

Your data

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone. If you turn on Sync with iCloud in Settings, it's also kept in your own private iCloud so it moves to a new phone. We never see it. See the Privacy Policy.

I got a new phone and my data is gone.

If iCloud sync was on, sign in to the same Apple ID and open Above Face. Data downloads in the background. If sync was off, data comes back only from an iPhone backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) that included Above Face.

Purchases

What's free and what's Pro?

Free includes one season or event with the full dashboard, split seats, fees, payouts, schedule paste, reminders and the widget. Pro ($9.99/year with a free trial, or $49.99 once) adds unlimited seasons, screenshot import, insights, exports, partner splits, recap cards and the renewal check.

How do I restore my purchase?

Settings › Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple ID you bought with. Family Sharing is supported.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Cancel in iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
